Wheat returned to the leaders of Ukrainian grain exports

During several recent years, Ukrainian traders continued actively increasing the shipment volumes of wheat on foreign markets. So, in the current MY for the first time in five recent seasons, the reporting grain will take back the leading position of the major crop in the grain export segment, getting ahead of corn. It is expected that in 2015/16 MY wheat exports may reach 14.1 mln tonnes, as opposed to 13.6 mln tonnes of corn exports, informed APK-Inform analysts.

Thus, despite some decline of the interest of importers in purchasing of the Ukrainian grain and quite limited number of proposals on the domestic market, in the first half of the current season the export supplies of wheat totaled over 10.5 mln tonnes, against 10.9 mln tonnes in the previous season.
